Beth Gerwe

Deloitte

Beth Gerwe is the North Texas Inclusion Leader for Deloitte and a leader within Deloitte Tax LLP focused on business strategy and transformation. She has been with Deloitte for over 20 years, focusing most of her career within Deloitte Consulting LLP serving clients in various industries with strategic transformation, merger and acquisition integration, technology implementation and HR transformation. Gerwe has also performed strategic change management services related to acquisitions, organizational restructuring, system implementations and strategic transformations.

Prior to joining Deloitte, Gerwe served as the leader for Texas Instruments’ Defense Systems Organizational Development group and began her career as an Industrial Engineer with General Motors. She is a member of the Board of Trustees at Parish Episcopal School.

Dr. Paul Hain, MD

Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas

Dr. Paul Hain is Chief Medical Officer & Divisional Senior Vice President of Market Delivery for Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas (BCBSTX). He works to strategically align the organization’s voice around policy development, leads Texas Health Care Management teams, and supports sales and account management, network and plan performance efforts. Hain is also very involved within the North Texas community, serving as a member of the Advisory Council for the UT Dallas Naveen Jindal School of Management and a board member for the Dallas Regional Chamber.

Julia Wada

Toyota Financial Services

Julia Wada is Group Vice President of Corporate Strategy and Innovation at Toyota Financial Services (TFS).  She is responsible for strategy development, strategic research and insights, and strategic business innovation, as well as the Operational Excellence and RPA COE teams. She also oversees the Indirect Procurement Shared Services function for TFS and Toyota Motor North America (TMNA).

As part of the One Toyota initiative, she led the transition of TFS’ headquarters move to Plano. Wada serves on the Executive Management Committee, and is on the board of directors for the Japan America Society of Dallas Fort Worth, the Dallas Holocaust and Human Rights Museum and the Toyota Foundation. 

Michele Thatcher

PepsiCo

Michele Thatcher is the Senior Vice President of Global Employment Law and Chief of Human Rights at PepsiCo. She joined PepsiCo in 1998 as the Sr. Employment Law Counsel for Frito-Lay North America (FNLA). While there, she created the Center of Excellence for Employment Law to support Foods and Beverages and was named General Counsel in 2003. In 2005, she became the Chief Human Resources Officer of FLNA.

Prior to joining PepsiCo, she was a partner in the Employment Law section of the Dallas office of Baker Botts, specializing in litigation and labor relations.

Thatcher is a member of the Texas Bar Association and is Board Certified in Labor and Employment Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specializations. She serves on the Board of Directors for Prince of Peace Christian Academy School and The Storehouse Food Pantry. She is a member of the Women of Tocqueville with United Way Dallas.

Justin Nelson

National LGBT Chamber of Commerce

Justin Nelson is the Co-Founder and President of the National LGBT Chamber of Commerce (NGLCC), the business voice of the LGBT community and the largest LGBT economic advocacy and business development organization in the world. Nelson regularly advises senior leaders at the White House, in Congress, and corporations throughout the world to build business opportunities through commitments to LGBT-inclusive supplier diversity programs.

For his efforts in establishing the NGLCC, Nelson was named to OUT Magazine’s Top 100 Greatest Gay Success Stories, as well asInstinct Magazine’s 25 Leading Men of 2006, SmartCEO Magazine’s 2012 Top 20 Leaders We Admire, the 2012 Global LGBT Power 100 from the Guardian Newspaper in Great Britain, and the 2014 Vanguard Award from the Atlanta Gay & Lesbian Chamber of Commerce. In 2010, Nelson received the Outstanding Collaborative Partner Award from the U.S. Business Leadership Network for his partnership work on disability issues.
